Now in its fifth year, Illuminate is a light puppet parade commemorating Boston’s connection to the  Pilgrim story. This year’s theme is the sea that the pilgrims traveled on their epic journey.

This year’s festival will feature a spectacular light projection and fire garden.

Alongside Illuminate, the beautiful marketplace will host live performances, a Christmas Market and the Christmas lights switch-on.

As with previous years, the event will commemorate the town’s historical links with the Pilgrims and ties to America. Boston Illuminate is part of the Pilgrim Roots ‘Pilgrim Festival’, a two-week festival in the home towns and villages of many of the Mayflower Pilgrims including Gainsborough, Bawtry, Boston, Retford, Worksop and Immingham.
