Victoria’s role

Victoria has worked for the Director of the Centre for Culture & Creativity since it was first established in 2016. Since then the team has grown significantly and her role has diversified. Victoria works for the Director, Sukhy Johal, whilst also supporting other members of the Centre’s team including; the Project Assistants, Finance Administrator and Intern.

Alongside this Victoria also supports the wider team including those working for the Transported programme (Project Director and colleagues) and Lincolnshire One Venues (Project Manager and colleagues).

A bit of background

Victoria has worked for C4CC since the very beginning, at which point she had been working at the University of Lincoln for 10 years, firstly as PA to the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Architecture & Design.

She has a long history with the University. Victoria graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Tourism degree in 1999 from the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, now the University of Lincoln, and was one of the first students to study on the Brayford campus when the University opened in Lincoln in 1996.

Victoria has an interest in travel and languages. She studied music for many years when she was younger and was a member of the Lincolnshire County Orchestra. Throughout that time Victoria also worked at the Theatre Royal in Lincoln, which she particularly enjoyed.

During her studies for her degree, she travelled around Europe and was then lucky enough to gain a place on the Leonardo da Vinci programme working at L’Espace Jeunesse Youth Information Centre in Montpellier, France, which was a great experience. Following the placement in France, she worked in a PA role in Bath for a number of years, prior to returning to Lincoln.
